Visit the LinkinChat website in your browser
Select Log In, then connect.
Skip Connecting your Facebook Account to LinkinChat if you already have a facebook business/creator page and your instagram account is connected to the page.
Creating a Facebook Business or Creator Page
If you don't already have a Facebook Business or Creator page, follow these steps:
Go to Facebook and log in to your Facebook account.
Navigate to Pages. In the left-hand sidebar, click on Pages (or use the link: Create Facebook Page)
Create New Page
Click Create New Profile or Page in the top-left corner
Choose whether you want a Business Page or Creator Page.
Enter Page Details
Page Name: Enter a unique name for your business or creator page.
Category: Choose a relevant category (e.g. Business, Brand, Public Figure)
Description: Add a brief description of what your page is about.
Click Create Page. Once your details are filled in, click Create Page.
(Optional, can be done later) Customize your page. You'll be prompted to upload a profile picture and cover photo, and fill in additional details like your website, location, and contact information.
Connecting your Instagram Account to your Facebook Business/Creator Page
Now that your Facebook Business/Creator Page is set up, follow these steps to connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page:
Open Facebook. Log in to your Facebook account, if you're not logged in already.
Go to your Facebook profile page.
From the sidebar, click Pages.
Select the Facebook Page you just created (or any page you want to connect to Instagram).
Navigate to Settings
In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down and click Settings.
In the settings menu, locate Permissions and click on Linked Accounts.
Connect Instagram account
Click the View button and then Connect Account.
Facebook will ask for permissions to manage your Instagram account. Click Connect and then Confirm to grant the necessary permissions.
A pop-up window will appear prompting you to log into your Instagram account (make sure your permissions allow for pop-ups). Enter your Instagram username and password.
Verify connection. Once connected you'll se your Instagram account listed under the Instagram settings on your Facebook page. You can now manage your Instagram messages, posts, and ads through your Facebook page.
Connecting your Facebook Account to LinkinChat
Return to LinkinChat in your browser and log in.
A pop-up window will appear, asking you to log in to your Facebook account. If you are already logged in to Facebook, this step will be skipped. Enter your Facebook credentials and log in.
Granting Permissions to LinkinChat
Facebook will now prompt you to allow LinkinChat to access your Business/Creator pages and Instagram accounts.
Completing the Setup & Verification
Once the connection is complete, you will be redirected back to the LinkinChat Dashboard. This may take a few minutes to load.
You should now see your connected Instagram accounts.
Verifying and managing the connection
Go to your Facebook account, select Settings and Privacy, and then select Settings. In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down to Your Activity and then go to Business Integrations. You should see LinkinChat as an active business integration.
Editing Permissions, Removing, or Reconnecting to LinkinChat
To edit permissions, remove, or reconnect to LinkinChat, you can do this either from LinkinChat or from Facebook.
From LinkinChat:
On your LinkinChat dashboard, there is a link a beneath the Configure Automation button. Select Fix it Here.
Next, select Reconnect. This will allow you to edit permissions, remove, or reconnect your account.
From Facebook:
Go to your Facebook account, select Settings and Privacy, and then select Settings. In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down to Your Activity and then go to Business Integrations. You should see LinkinChat as an active business integration.
